An exploration in texture.

I see potential in fabric, thread, photography and colour. Projects to display with pride.

Quilting, doll making, bear making and embroidery, I’ve never settled on just one type of creative outlet. I do so many different things as creative passions and you see this in my work. I mix n' match textiles and techniques to make new pieces. Embellishments, fabric, paint and beadwork result in a work of art people will cherish for years.

My creative brain is overlaid by a perfectionist spirit. A pattern is just a suggestion. Every inch has been thought out, smoothed, given texture. Every stitch is there for a reason. I create little details to show depth, add dimension and make things pretty. I’ll stitch things several times until seams intersect perfectly. I’ll combine patterns, change sizes and redo blocks until the story of the quilt fits for me.

The “ta da” moment of creating is fulfilling for me. And so gratifying when others appreciate it too. My dedication to my craft has resulted in several award-winning quilts and projects. It means I have more than one approach to create a piece. It means I look for inspiration in many areas. It means when I finally consider a piece done, it is truly a work of art, an exploration in texture. A project to cherish.
